Description

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to provide assistance in all aspects of network management from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks. The candidate would analyze designs, specifications, and related documents; Implement communication system requirements to support the distributed functionality of a software engineering environment; Analyze network characteristics (e.g. traffic connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes and throughput); Troubleshoots problems and recommend procurement of and/or modifications to network components.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience Twelve (12) years’ experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional network engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Required skills:

Minimum of 3 years as a Network Engineer (within the last 3 years)

Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls

Proficient with Linux and Windows. Linux and/or Windows system administration experience is a plus

CCNA or CCNP certification

Security+ certification

An IAT level III baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required

Desired skills:

Experience with patching and upgrading Linux servers and networking resources

Ansible/Salt scripts

Erias Ventures provides a complete package of wealth, health, and happiness benefits. The expected salary range for this position, depending on education and years of experience is $215,000 - $270,000.
