Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Web Developer to join our growing technology team in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining modern, secure and scalable web applications tailored to client and internal business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain responsive and user-friendly web applications and websites

Write clean, efficient and well-documented code using modern programming languages and frameworks

Collaborate with designers, project managers and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions

Integrate front-end components with server-side logic and third-party APIs

Troubleshoot, debug and optimise web applications for performance and security

Conduct testing and implement fixes to ensure functionality across browsers and devices

Maintain version control and follow secure development best practices

Provide ongoing support, updates and enhancements to existing web platforms

Required Skills and Experience

Proven experience as a Web Developer or similar role

Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and at least one modern framework (e.g. React, Angular, or Vue)

Experience with server-side technologies such as PHP, Python, Node.js or similar

Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services

Knowledge of version control systems such as Git

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desirable Skills

Experience with cloud platforms or hosting environments

Knowledge of cybersecurity and data protection best practices

Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field is desirable but not essential if supported by relevant experience
