Mechanical Rotating Engineer

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is the standard requirement. (A Master's degree or professional engineering license (PE license) is recommended.)

Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in industrial, power, or energy projects is typically required.

Specific experience in the design, operation, maintenance, and repair of rotating machinery, including turbines, generators, pumps, and compressors, is essential. Profound understanding of steam turbine dynamics, including rotor and blade life management, vibration, balancing, and alignment.

Knowledge of specialized repair techniques such as welding on rotor journals, seal strip replacement, and blade path assessments. Understanding the unique challenges of geothermal steam, which is often wet and contains corrosive chemicals, necessitating knowledge of appropriate material selection and corrosion/erosion mitigation.
