A full-time Information Security Engineer II position is available immediately in the company's office in Everett, Massachusetts, reporting to the CTO.
The Information Security Engineer II will have the following responsibilities:
1) Design, develop, test, and implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems and solutions, ensuring functionality and security across multiple operating systems and database environments;
2) Implement multi-factor authentication, single sign-on (SSO), and other authentication mechanisms, ensuring users are authenticated properly before granting access;
3) Analyze IAM system design to enhance security measures and provide seamless usage experience. Identify security weaknesses, and resolve issues related to securities, identities, systems, access, accounts, authentication, and authorization;
4) Implement software tools to detect, prevent, and analyze security threats. Develop plans to safeguard computer files and client data against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure;
5) Implement automation scripts, mitigating the risk of manual errors and elevating automation to a higher standard;
6) Participate in code reviews, software testing, vulnerability assessments, and debugging to validate the functionality and security of products and identify possible areas for improvement, and collaborate with the security and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with the industry standards;
7) Develop and maintain systems and software on an ongoing basis, as well as firewalls and data encryption software tools to protect and secure information;
8) Communicate with clients to understand system requirements, and provide Security Architecture consultation, including the selection, design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of IAM solutions;
9) Design reusable strategies, decisions, service components, libraries, and frameworks to support enterprise-level IAM services and prepare comprehensive technical documentation,
including code, algorithms, interfaces, and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for security projects;
10) Test cloud security products and optimize structures to improve performance, scalability, reliability, and user experience;
11) Perform on-call duties to monitor alerts within the client's IAM system, ensuring timely detection and resolution of any potential security issues or access anomalies; and
12) Conduct research on specific technologies and tools in the information security domain to identify opportunities for enhancing the company's IAM solutions.
Work Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
A minimum of one (1) year of employment experience in software engineering and programming.
Required experience must include a minimum of one (1) year of employment experience in each of the following:
1) Software programming with Java, JavaScript, Python, and shell scripting (e.g., Linux Shell, PowerShell);
2) Building automated digital infrastructure;
3) Working with AI tools for pattern recognition and anomaly detection;
4) Integration and deployment of data into systems;
5) Monitoring of systems or products for reliability and performance, including error reporting, processing time, and response time.
Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
