Student Nurse Apprentice
Job Summary: Demonstrates through behavior Decatur Morgan Hospital's mission, vision and values. Additionally, the Student Nurse Apprentice works under a supervising licensed nurse serving in the role of preceptor. The responsibilities of the Student Nurse Apprentice include providing direct patient care and maintaining patient care standards. The Student Nurse Apprentice must exhibit the ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds; to organize, set priorities and manage multiple priorities, and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:
High School Diploma/GED required.
Enrolled in a Board approved nursing education program.
Actively engaged in a registered apprenticeship.
Has obtained a Student Nurse Apprentice permit issued from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
BLS certification.
