What you’ll do at DBH:
Supervises correction officers assigned to shift being covered
Recommends approval/disapproval of officer leave requests
Completes shift reports for submittal to Captain
Completes annual and probationary Performance Evaluations as assigned
Supports Nursing Leadership on shift as needed
Train officers in the security operations at Timothy B. Moritz Forensic Unit
Monitors & coordinates shift security operations & documents activities
Makes daily inspection rounds to observe shift activity & to ensure compliance with all security, safety, fire, health, sanitation & other hospital regulations
Response to emergency codes to support staff & patients
This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units, with a pay range of 11 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule. Normal shift hours are 11\:00 pm - 7\:00 am. Schedules may be changed to meet operational needs outside of the posted general working hours.

Correction Lieutenant - 3rd Shift
Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare
High school diploma or G.E.D.; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in enforcement of security measures for detention of felons or consumers who are criminally insane in controlled environment; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques or providing work direction & training to other employees. if assigned to operate vehicles regulated by Section 4506.01 of revised code, applicants must also have commercial driver's license.
