Designer / Drafter
Description:
Our client is a cryogenic and vacuum equipment designer, manufacturer and supplier to national laboratories, defense and launch facilities. Our client is seeking a highly qualified person to fill the role of Drafter/Designer. This is a six month contract to hire position.
Responsibilities:
Design/Draft cryogenic piping and process equipment
Create shop drawings from models
Provide manufacturing support
Design and development of engineered products
Analyze and suggest design improvements in existing products
Provide technical assistance to customers and prospects
Other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications:
Applicable technical degree (experience in a similar professional position will be considered in lieu of a degree)
Familiarity with ASME B&PV Code and B31.3 Pipe Code
CAD skills consisting of Autodesk product suite and Solid Modeling using Inventor
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and excellent verbal/written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products
Ability to work effectively with other departments, external partners, and customers with minimal supervision
