Location: McLean, VA (Primary) or Wilmington, DE (Secondary) - Hybrid

Duration: 8 Months

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our team and support data integration and processing initiatives within the C1 ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Apache Spark, and AWS services (including Step Functions, Glue, and Lambda), with hands-on experience in building and maintaining ETL pipelines for large-scale data environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

Manage secure file transfers from clients and ensure successful ingestion into the C1 ecosystem.

Develop and optimize backend services and workflows using Java and Spark.

Leverage AWS services such as Step Functions, Glue, and Lambda to orchestrate and automate data processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, scalability, and performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve data processing issues within the C1 environment.

Follow best practices in coding, version control, and data governance. Required Qualifications:

9+ years of experience in backend or data engineering roles.

Proficiency in Java and Apache Spark for data processing.

Strong experience with AWS tools: Step Functions, Glue, Lambda, and related services.

Hands-on experience with ETL design, development, and automation.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
