Sheetmetal Helper

Job Description

PrideStaff is hiring for a Sheetmetal Helper position in Long Beach MS! The Sheetmetal Helper is responsible for completing basic tasks that require physical labor, machine operation, various tasks that encompass sheetmetal fabrication of AC Duct Work for large commercial mechanical and plumbing construction sites.

Specific responsibilities include:

Assist in Fabrication shop on various machines and/or production of duct work.

Assist in material distribution to complete project on time.

Assists mechanics installing HVAC and Plumbing.

Maintains a safe and secure work environment and attend safety meetings.

Loads and unloads materials to be used in fabrication.

Operates or tends equipment and machines used.

Follows construction plans and instructions accordingly.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

1-2 years of construction experience.

Ability to communicate on all levels.

Must have adequate/reliable transportation to the jobsite daily.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

Plumbing & mechanical experience.

OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 Certification
