Job Description

Capitol Helicopters Inc. is currently accepting resumes for Commercial Licensed Drivers. Qualified Candidates must have CDL driving experience. In addition to this experience, drivers with a Hazardous Materials Endorsement preferred. Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Must be 18 or Older

Class C Commercial Driver’s License

Hazardous Materials Endorsement preferred

Class A Combination preferred

Tanker Endorsement preferred

Current DOT Medical

Must pass random drug/alcohol screening

Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs.

Ground Support Driver Responsibilities:

Driver Reports Directly to the Fleet Manager

Typical Duties:

Safely drives Fuel Vehicles to and from specified job sites.

Driver is to assist the Director of Operations and Fleet Manager in assuring all working performed within Capitol GOM, and is in compliance with Capitol Helicopter’s manuals

Maintains Commercial Driver’s License as required by state law and company policy.

Maintains communication with reporting supervisor to receive job details.

Maintains Electronic Driver Logs in accordance with State and Federal Regulations, including DOT.

Obeying and following applicable traffic laws.

Performs minor maintenance/inspection on assigned Fuel Support Vehicle.

Ensures equipment is clean and presentable inside and out.

Promote the use of the Safety Management System amongst peers as the path to achieving safety objectives

Be responsible for safe ground and flight operations in collaboration with the Director of Operations, Fleet Manager, and all department managers.

Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.

Must maintain a professional image and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrates a willingness to excel and be proficient in the position.

Works collaboratively within a team; ability and willingness to adapt to evolving situations.

Works in accordance with company values, priorities, and goals and to adhere to company policies and procedures.
