Temp EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Order Processing Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer orders across two distinct business units, each with unique fulfillment requirements. This position is responsible for managing EDI and manually entered sales orders, generating EDI documents, and maintaining exceptional order accuracy. The coordinator works cross-functionally with Sales, Warehouse, IT, and Customer Service teams to ensure all customer orders are executed in alignment with customer expectations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, monitor, and process incoming customer orders via EDI, email, and digital platforms. Document orders and ensure availability for operational teams.

Prepare and distribute daily EDI order summaries to Sales and Warehouse teams.

Maintain customer ship-to information, EDI profiles, contracts, and pricing.

Validate inbound EDI transactions (850, 860) and reconcile outbound documents (856, 810) using SPS Commerce.

Collaborate with the EDI Manager to resolve EDI transmission or posting issues.

Work with the Order Processing Associate to ensure timely order processing (24-hour turnaround).

Accurately record orders and communicate them to the warehouse to support on-time shipping.

Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries.

Maintain accurate documentation for audit and compliance requirements.

Compile seasonal and annual reports based on order activity.

Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce order errors.

Stay current with EDI standards and trading partner requirements.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in EDI transaction processing.

3+ years of experience in customer order processing.

Strong knowledge of EDI document types (850, 856, 810, etc.) and EDI standards (X12, XML).

Experience with ERP systems such as Syteline (INFOR, CSI), EDI vendor portals, and databases.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).

High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with EDI platforms such as SPS Commerce and Decision Resource, INC (D365).

Background in wholesale, retail, or manufacturing industries.

Understanding of supply chain operations and domestic/import logistics.
