Windows System Administrator/PowerShell

We are seeking a Windows System Administrator with strong PowerShell scripting and automation, as well as virtualization skills. This role plays a pivotal part in the Information Systems team, ensuring the performance and secure operation of business productivity platforms.Worksite Location:Hybrid; 2 days in the office, three remote after 60 days in the office during the onboarding and training period - can work out of any of the following office locations:

$80-100K/year + bonus

Educational Assistance ($2,000/year reimbursement) Roles & Responsibilities:

Performs daily monitoring of server systems, analyzing system and application logs, and ensuring the successful execution of automated tasks.

Automate routine maintenance tasks using PowerShell scripts or other automation tools.

Install, deploy, and optimize hardware configurations, server operating systems, and supporting applications.

Generate appropriate documentation of system configurations and maintenance procedures.

Provides input in planning and managing IT product and service development initiatives.

Remain abreast of emerging technologies and platforms, evaluating their potential integration into server systems.

Implement and oversee the integration of new technologies into existing computing environments as needed.

Assists with the formulation of IS policies, procedures, and performance management protocols.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues promptly.

Ensure timely software updates with the latest security patches, in compliance with company policy. Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical field; or equivalent professional experience.

2+ years of experience in IS/IT and relevant business/industry roles.

Experience with PowerShell scripting beyond basic commands.

Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016+ platforms.

Experience with Virtualization and Cloud Technologies such as Hyper-V, VMWare, and Azure.

Proven ability to learn and become proficient with new technologies.
