CSCI, a Woman-Owned Small Business, is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Contractor SAP Security Officer (CSSO) with comprehensive security expertise.
The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of, and experience with, relevant Government regulations, directives, instructions, manuals, and laws pertaining to Information Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, and Information Assurance.

This position is on-site, Monday-Friday.
The primary duty location will be in Springfield.
Responsibilities The candidate's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Draft and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP), Security Classification Guides (SCGs), and other essential security documents and records.
Implement a security education program for assigned personnel tailored to supported programs.
* Review and process PERSEC documentation, including SAP nomination paperwork, loading accesses and documents into access management databases, and brief/debrief personnel to/from SAP programs.
* Be the Subject Matter Expert on security structure, policies, and procedures.
Ensure all required documentation is on file, under current policy and directive.
* Provide day-to-day security support for the customer, maintain a "ready for inspection" environment to ensure compliance with the Technical Specifications for Construction and Management of SAP Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities, National Industrial Security Programs Operating Manual (NISPOM), and the NISPOM supplemental.
* Anticipate requirements and lead with recommended solutions.

Skills - Minimum of 8 Years of Experience Required Qualifications: * US Citizenship is required.
* AA/AS or equivalent experience in a security or business related field required.
BA or BS in a security or business related field preferred.
* Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility and Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information * 8 years of related experience required in the DoW environments.
* 5 years experience with SAPs within the DoW.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). * Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be willing to actively communicate with co-workers, program leadership, and clients, which may involve delivering presentations.
* Working onsite Monday - Friday.
Preferred Qualifications: * Prior military experience preferred, but not required.
* CDSE SAP Overview course and SFPC Preferred Experience Levels: LEVEL1 - requires a minimum of 3 years related experience LEVEL2- requires a minimum of 5 years related experience.
LEVEL 3 - requires a minimum of 8 years related experience.
LEVEL 4 - requires a minimum of 10 years related experience.
*This position is Level 4.
Training/Certifications: COMSEC Responsible Officer Training Course October 2017, Basic Information Security, Department of Defense Personnel Security Adjudicator Course, Marking Classified Information, Derivative Classification Course, and Personnel Security for Customized Adjudication.

Compensation Compensation at CSCI is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws.
The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status.
While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of CSCI's total compensation package.
