CNC Programmer

* Under minimal supervision, performs varied and complex tasks * Programs, sets up, and operates a variety of CNC equipment * Applies skills to perform functions of the position within assigned area * Adapts new procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet the more complex requirements of the position * May Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish some assigned tasks and goals * Resolves most questions and problems, may serve as a resource on several topics, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels * May orient, train, assign and check the work of other employees * Uses computer-aided software such as CAM/SolidWorks, Understanding orders of operation * Writes the formulas necessary to program mills and lathes using CAM software * Maintains constant communications with Production and Leadership teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs * Documents actions by completing production and quality logs * Reduces set-up times and decreases cycle times for maximum efficiency * Designs and develops process aids and fixtures * Has developed proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training and on-the-job experience * Completes a variety of atypical assignments * Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments * Works with a limited degree of supervision * Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
