Until filledGreenwich Public Schools seeks Learning Guides for the after-school Kindergarten-Play Program to take place at Hamilton Avenue Elementary School during the 2025-26 school year. Learning Guides are needed every day between 2:45-5:00 p.m. Work will be compensated at the rate of $29/hr. based on hours worked outside of the contracted day.

Essential Responsibilities

Oversee daily lesson plans and activities focused on developing children's social/motor skills and oral language

Assist children with play, phonemic awareness, assignments, and homework, such as reading, writing, and mathematics

Prepare learning materials and equipment, such as books, arts and crafts, stationery, and other supplies, as needed

Assist tutoring students in academic subjects such as reading, writing, mathematics, and phenomic awareness

Assist with behavior management, discipline, and interpersonal actions, acting always as a role model

Mentor students in a variety of learning and life experiences

Qualifications

Preference will be given to Hamilton Avenue Elementary School teachers, then to other Greenwich Public Schools staff with elementary school teacher certification Note: The above description is illustrative of tasks and responsibilities.
