Database Administrator

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team on a contract basis in Franklin, Wisconsin. This role focuses on supporting database environments across development, QA, and production systems while ensuring seamless transitions and stability. As part of the team, you will contribute to optimizing database performance and collaborating on critical tasks to achieve project milestones.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and configure database environments, including development, QA, and production systems.

• Address and resolve issues in QA and production environments to improve system stability.

• Assist with environment setup and ensure readiness for critical tasks.

• Collaborate on the transition from QA to live production environments within established timelines.

• Perform database cleanup and maintenance tasks to enhance performance and reliability.

• Provide support for backups and imports to ensure data integrity.

• Optimize database performance through tuning and troubleshooting.

• Work closely with team members and vendors to address project-specific requirements.

• Support system hand-offs and contribute to the completion of pending tasks.

• Utilize expertise in database technologies to achieve project goals effectively.• Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database.

• Familiarity with MySQL and Microsoft SQL environments.

• Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

• Experience with database setup and environment transitions.

• Knowledge of optimizing and maintaining database structures.

• Effective collaboration skills for working with teams and vendors.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
