Zwicker is presently seeking a Remittance Processor to join our team. The Remittance Processor is a financial operations professional responsible for handling and processing incoming payments for an organization. This role is essential in industries like banking, healthcare, and legal services where accurate and timely payment processing is critical.
The base hourly rate for this position is $21.00-$23.00.
Responsibilities include
Process and reconcile daily reports detailing payments received on behalf of clients
Produce detailed files to be submitted to clients through various applications, supporting amounts to be forwarded
Research and process account balance adjustments as necessary
Perform other related tasks, including payment reversals resulting from returns from insufficient funds
Prepare and process refunds and amounts due to third parties from over-payments and other obligations
Meet daily and month-end deadlines
Other duties as assignedRequirements:
Minimum one year of payment processing or equivalent experience
Finance experience preferred
Ability to work as part of a team while also working independently to complete assigned tasks
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficient in data entry
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organization skills
Ability to prioritize
Ability to solve problems
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Open to direction, collaborative work style, and commitment to get the job done
Excels at operating in a fast-paced, community environment
Be able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing
Be able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device
Be able to complete a minimum of a 40-hour flexible workweek schedule
Be able to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence
Physical Qualifications
Be able to lift five pounds or greater
Be able to sit 90% of the workday at times
Be able to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed
Be able to concentrate and use critical thinking
