Job Title: Process Tech I

Reports To: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

2nd Shift

Hours: 1:00pm-9:30pm

Overtime required based on production need.

$17.00/hour

GUARANTEED $0.50 RAISE AFTER 90 DAYS.

Summary

Operates mixing machine to blend ingredients into compounds for processing by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Other duties may be assigned.

Verifies ingredients prior to mixing batches.

Loads ingredients into mixing tank or blender.

Starts machine and adjusts valves or devices in mixing chamber to aid in blending and densifying mixture.

Operates machine until mixture reaches desired consistency, and turns lever to unload mixture into kettles, pick system, totes, drums, and/or hopper.

Cleans and sanitizes mixing tanks, kettles, pick system, pumps, pipes, blender, and/or hopper.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.
