CNC Programmer

Develop CNC programs for Milling and/or Turning machines as required working from blueprints, sketches and models. Must understand the setup and general operation of a wide variety of machine tools, select proper cutting tools for the application and work closely with machine operators for program prove out and optimization.

Use CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) software to calculate and create programs

Review post processed program for accuracy and proper code generation for the specific machine tool

Work with Engineering, operators and Plant Supervision to trouble shoot and resolve design, equipment and operating difficulties

Work independently and/or with engineering as required to design and develop or identify adequate work holding devices

Review process plan and identify problems or areas of concern with process engineer and work to resolve the issue and establish an efficient process
