Job Title : WCS Architect

Work Location : Springfield, MO (Onsite - Hybrid)

Job Description:

The WCS Architect will lead the design and implementation of scalable highperformance ecommerce solutions using IBM WebSphere Commerce This role requires deep technical expertise in WCS strong architectural acumen and experience working with largescale retail clients

Key Responsibilities

Define and own the end to end architecture for WCSbased ecommerce platforms

Collaborate with business stakeholders product managers and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

Lead technical design sessions code reviews and performance tuning initiatives

Provide guidance on WCS customization integration and deployment strategies

Ensure adherence to best practices in security scalability and maintainability

Mentor development teams and support client technical discussions Required Skills Experience

12 years of experience in enterprise Java development with at least 5 years in WCS v7 or v8

Strong understanding of WCS subsystems Catalog Order Member Promotions and Search

Experience with RESTful APIs microservices architecture and cloudnative deployments

Proficiency in DevOps tools and CICD pipelines

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with North American retail clients

Experience with HCL Commerce postIBM acquisition

Exposure to adjacent technologies like Adobe AEM ReactJS and AzureAWS

Prior experience in hybrid or onsite client engagements
