Linux Administrator

Job Description

.We are looking for a Linux Administrator for a contract role based in California City, CA, United States. This is a long-term contract with a global IT consulting leader.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Expertly configure and meticulously document Linux systems

Efficiently manage virtual machines to facilitate powerful simulation applications

Thoroughly conduct audits on hardware and software for optimal performance

Proactively apply timely OS updates, patches, and configuration changes

Diligently troubleshoot and resolve reported problems to ensure smooth operations

Skills and experience required:

At least 5 years of extensive IT experience

IT qualifications or a Tertiary Degree

Hold a Red Hat Certified Engineer qualification

Proficient in working with SQL/MYSQL, MSSQL, or Oracle databases

Familiarity with ITIL service management practices

Hands-on experience in Windows Desktop and server administration

Skills at the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) level

Mandatory: Possess a NV1 Security Clearance
