Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior BIM Coordinator to join our award winning team based in Doha, Qatar. This critical role will be responsible for managing the Civil3D core team and tasks across all InSite projects in coordination with internal design teams and external parties alongside monitoring design modifications and changes to ensure accurate and timely production of drawings and design documentation within project budget parameters.
We envisage success in this role to include:
Manage the Civil 3D team by planning daily workloads, providing technical guidance, reviewing model quality, and making sure all tasks are executed in line with project standards and timelines.
Carry out Civil 3D surface modelling, including creation of terrain surfaces, contours, and grading elements as per project requirements.
Coordinate Civil 3D irrigation modelling to guarantee proper coordination with overall site design and alignment with project specifications.
Perform clash detection and coordinate with relevant disciplines to resolve design conflicts.
Create and manage alignments, profiles, corridors, and assemblies within Civil 3D.
Produce accurate earthwork calculations and quantity take-offs using Civil 3D, making certain all data reflects design revisions and project standards.
Coordinate NOC approvals and gather relevant data using Civil 3D to ensure project alignment.
Conduct detailed swept path analysis using software tools to validate vehicle circulation, check design clearances, and support safe and efficient site layout planning.
Manage COBie data within the model to guarantee accurate asset information and documentation.
Prepare detailed 2D drawings, schedules, quantity take-offs, and construction documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Coordinate utility models with other disciplines to guarantee proper coordination and prevent design conflicts.
Prepare detailed CAD drawings and layout plans in accordance with project specifications, ensuring accuracy and clarity in design drawing.
Convert Civil 3D models to Revit-compatible formats, ensuring correct geolocation, surface data transfer, coordinate system alignment, and smooth interoperability between platforms.
Make sure all models follow to project standards, approved templates, and BIM requirements, maintaining consistency and accuracy across deliverables.
Coordinate regularly with the Project Manager (PM) to maintain smooth workflow and timely project delivery.
Coordinate effectively with clients to manage project requirements, provide timely updates, resolve technical queries, and ensure client approval with deliverables.
Demonstrating proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, REVIT, and Navisworks, with knowledge of ESRI GIS systems preferred.
Demonstrating knowledge of surveying, design, production, and construction techniques and standards.
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 10 years of practical BIM experience in a design office environment partnered with a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or any related discsipline.
Advanced proficiency in a range of computer aided design tools including Autodesk Revit and Navisworks are required.
