General Description
This position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of maintenance, production and environmental management on swine facilities owned and managed by Summit Agricultural Group.
Key Job Responsibilities
Supervise remodel projects and assist with new construction projects
Perform facility inspections and update progress reports
Determine required parts and equipment and order parts and equipment, as needed
Deliver parts and supplies to projects as requested by employees and contractors
Supervise and organize daily workloads of seasonal staff
Work closely with production and maintenance staff to ensure sites function as required by integrators and Summit Agricultural Group
Work closely with manager to understand workload and budgets
Follow integrators bio-security rules and expectations and report any violations
Build strong relationships with employees of integrators
Complete closeout repairs in swine facilities between groups of pigs, as needed
Perform repairs and improvements to all facilities, as needed
Assist the environmental staff with setting barn ventilation, as needed
Bi-lingual is preferred, not required
Other duties as assigned by Manager

Working knowledge of livestock confinements and building structures
Three or more years of work experience within swine facilities
Ability to operate power tools, farm machinery, and hand tools
Valid driver's license with satisfactory motor vehicle record
Physicality Requirements
Required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor
Work Environment:
As needed, this position is performed inside swine facilities with the occasional need for some tasks to be performed in outside weather conditions.
As times, exposure to loud noises along with dust and fumes particularly in Winter months.
Position Type:
This position is full time working Monday-Friday with the occasional weekend work with the additional availability during weather and staffing challenges.
