POSITION SUMMARY:

The position requires an individual who possesses competencies that are essential to the effective practice of recovery support for substance use disorders utilizing a Social Model approach. The individual needs to become fully proficient in understanding addiction, treatment, knowledge, application to practice and professional readiness; full proficiency and understanding required in the practice of recovery-oriented systems of care (ROSC) related to the resident, family and community. Must be flexible to cover staff shifts on a as need basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for all operations of the Recovery House. Must be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Must meet with each incoming Resident for orientation to review the welcome packet, complete the intake process and ensure all required documents are signed.

Monitor and implement the house rules, policies and procedures of the Recovery House.

Facilitate and/or Co-facilitate weekly Mandatory Recovery House meetings. Coordination of weekly and mandatory 12 step meetings.

Designate and clearly outline the responsibilities of the Resident in terms of daily chores and kitchen/food clean up. Share the schedule of household duties.

Ensure maintenance repairs are made within 48 hours, maintain the inside and outside grounds of the house.

Conduct a fire drill each month and maintain proper documentation

Coordinate transportation with the Peer Support/Recovery House associates for outside functions related to recovery plan.

Follow-up with the resident and counselor on a weekly basis to ensure progress of their recovery plan.

Organizes and conducts social and cultural activities to promote sobriety and awareness about substance abuse.

Maintains confidential participant records and/or data in a secure manner. Completes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in a timely manner.

Oversee the CND Vehicle Fleet including maintenance of vehicles, inspections and driving training.

Oversee Fire Equipment for Recovery House and Livingston locations, including but not limited to Fire alarm and equipment contact person, equipment maintenance, having equipment serviced, annual fire equipment and safety inspections required by local governances

CND Health and Safety Committee Member

Pickup Livingston orders from Sam's Club

Performs other related duties as requested by CEO, Director of Treatment Services.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have at least a high school diploma/GED, preferably lived experience with substance use disorder and at least 18 to 24 months sustained recovery. Knowledge of the criminal justice system, adult probation and parole is essential. Reliable transportation and a valid Ohio Driver license as well as Ohio auto insurance are required.

Maintains required training hours

Maintain open communicant with Vice President and other staff as it relates to the necessary flow of the job and programs. Aids in the design of peer mentoring and recovery support.

Must have an understanding of Mental Health and AOD Pharmacology, confidentiality, CFR42 part 2 and HIPAA.

Attending workshops, seminars, in-services training, staff meetings and professional development sessions are required.

Adhere to all agency personnel policies and procedures.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit and walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms. The employee must be capable of lifting or pulling 175 lbs., Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust and focus. Proper diction and command of the English language required.

Computer Skills

Proficient in the use of personal computers and medical-related software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) use of office equipment (e.g., fax, copier, printer). Must be familiar with the HER medical charting system.

Other Requirements

Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license; must pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
