Position Summary:

Northridge High School is seeking a compassionate and reliable Paraprofessional (Educational Aide) to support classroom teachers and assist students with instructional, social, and behavioral needs. The paraprofessional will work closely with educators to create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist teachers with classroom instruction and activities.

Provide individualized or small-group support to students as directed.

Help maintain classroom management and a positive learning atmosphere.

Support students with special needs, including academic and behavioral interventions.

Assist with supervision during lunch, recess, and other school activities as assigned.

Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and parents to support student success.

Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or teacher.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.

?Must meet state and district requirements for paraprofessionals (e.g., passing relevant assessments).
