Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Java/Go/AWS)

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead diverse technology projects and mentor a talented team of developers skilled in distributed microservices and full stack systems, delivering solutions to assist with the company's regulatory needs.

Stay ahead of tech trends, explore new technologies, and engage in both internal and external tech communities while guiding your peers in the engineering realm.

Collaborate with product managers to build robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans towards financial independence.

Utilize a variety of programming languages, including Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, alongside Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Kubernetes, Docker, and an array of AWS tools to craft effective applications.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software engineering (internship experience does not apply).

At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree.

7+ years of experience with one or more of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.

3+ years of experience working with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud services.

4+ years of experience in open source frameworks.

1+ years of experience in a people management role.

2+ years of experience applying Agile methodologies.

Salary Information: The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Candidates hired to work in this location, McLean, VA, can expect a salary between $193,400 and $220,700. Please note that the actual offer will depend on various factors including experience, skills, and location.

Additional Information: This role is eligible for performance-based incentives such as cash bonuses or long-term incentives (LTI). Capital One offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, financial, and other support to ensure your overall well-being.
