JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE:
The Sr. JDE CNC System Administrator ensures the effective operation, performance, and security of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environment. This position manages daily CNC activities, oversees software updates and upgrades, collaborates with technical and business teams, and supports related IT functions such as backup/recovery, security administration, and performance monitoring.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer and maintain JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environments, including deployment, database, enterprise, web servers, and fat clients.
Perform package builds, deployments, ESU/ASU installations, and environment refreshes.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot JDE application security (roles, permissions, and user access).
Administer and support WebLogic, Windows, and Linux servers supporting the JDE ecosystem.
Collaborate with database administrators on Oracle and SQL Server platforms to ensure database performance and availability.
Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes for JDE and related systems.
Monitor, tune, and optimize system performance for JDE CNC and supporting infrastructure.
Support and coordinate JDE upgrades, migrations, and tools releases.
Ensure system security, compliance, and audit readiness (e.g., Audit, internal IT Security policies).
Work closely with Applications, Infrastructure, and System Administration teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver enhancements.
Document system architecture, procedures, configurations, and changes.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to IT team members.
Support IT service management processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation for critical systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent technical training/certification with 10+ years of industry experience.
Proven expertise in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne CNC administration (7+ years).
Strong experience with Windows and Linux operating system administration.
Hands-on experience with Oracle WebLogic Server administration.
Solid knowledge of Oracle Database and SQL Server platforms.
Experience in backup/recovery strategies, disaster recovery planning, and high availability solutions.
Strong working knowledge of JD Edwards security tools, roles, and compliance practices.
Experience with ESU management, software updates, and tools releases.
Experience with Global Multi Country JDE rollouts is a plus.
Familiarity with IT service management frameworks.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal, Project management and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business, application, infrastructure, and administrative teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
