Quality Control Engineer MEP
QC Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and quality of HVAC, Utilities, Fire Fighting and Plumbing systems, contributing to successfully completing the construction project on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Dimensional Inspection and review Test Certificates
Study drawings and project related quality assurance plan.
Coordinate with TPI/Client for routine inspection according to project requirements.
Study the manufacturing procedures and perform inspection planning for critical inspection activities to avoid non conformity at later stage.
Maintain QC documentation and inspection records using advance software like ERP, Adobe acrobat, Ms Excel.
Write and revise standard quality control operated procedures.
Supply quality control data necessary for regulatory submissions.
Collect and select samples for testing and for use as models.
Survey site ahead of fitting HVAC, Utilities, Plumbing or Fire Fighting system.
Perform Various test such as CFM test ducts smoke test, piping leak test, review of test certificate of materials used on-site.
Conduct checks with appropriate inspection instruments (Gauges, Micrometers, Tachometers, Anemometers, Clamp Meters, etc)
Approve incoming material from vendors based on quality of materials and interact with vendors for improvement in quality
Assist on supplier risk assessments by performing sensitivity analysis on critical vendors
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Proven experience in quality control and inspection of MEP systems in construction projects.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and regulations related to MEP systems.
Sound knowledge of tools required for QC checks (Gauges, Micrometers, Tachometers, Anemometers, Clamp Meters, etc)
Excellent communication and documentation skills. ·
Proficiency Levels required in Excel, Adobe Acrobat and ERP
MUST HAVE: Minimum 4 years of experience as a QC Engineer at a Construction Site.
