Summary:
The Data Quality Analyst will develop an understanding of metadata and data issue management and be able to work collaboratively with internal teams and business partners to maximize resolution of data quality issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with business partners to understand requirements for data use, analysis, and quality.
Monitors business perception of data quality to establish subjective quality measures.
Profiles data from internal and external sources.
Informs solution design and improvements to meet data quality goals.
Coordinates with data curators to ensure data accessibility and quality.
Manages processes associated with data quality.
Establishes parameters for a data/data set.
Implements a systematic data quality monitoring for both objective and subjective measures.
Works with business partners and IT to identify root cause and facilitate the remediation and improvement of data quality.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics or related fields) or equivalent relevant work experience
2+ years of experience with Data Quality and some familiarity with the following: working with or in business operations and reporting processes, executing data quality analysis exercises within complex, federated data, and system architecture, and/or translating business data needs into technical language and partnering with IT teams to ensure effective QA / UAT of solution delivery
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills, focusing on outcomes and results
Understanding of OLAP, SQL, query skills, and Business Intelligence technologies/concepts
Understand DataOps and DevOps operational styles
Understanding of Data Management and Data Quality principles, best practices and processes
Technical knowledge, skills and experience using Data Management and specifically Data Quality tools, including understanding of relational databases, data warehouse concepts and SQL and query writing skills
Working knowledge of available data sources and how they relate to each other
Collaborative working style and ability to facilitate cooperation with business stakeholders and analysts
Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job
