Job Title: Operations Leader – Control of Work

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. (Fulltime onsite)

Grade: S5

You’re expected to have completed 12 months in role prior to applying for an advertised vacancy and you should also discuss the internal opportunity with your line manager to ensure sustained business continuity and to further support your career development.

What you’ll be doing:

Collaborating with the Discipline Manager to establish assurance, compliance and governance of Control of Work (CoW) processes

Supporting reviews and updates of relevant CoW processes and procedures and updating stakeholders accordingly

Providing guidance and coaching to team and trade leads and working with the Functional Training Leader to develop training

Building outstanding relationships with stakeholders to create a productive and inclusive work environment, with the importance of Nuclear License conditions at the forefront

Supporting and leading regulatory inspections from external auditors

Utilising LfE to continually improve people and equipment relating to licence condition 26

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

Good understanding of Submarine Health & Safety practices and processes

Manufacturing business knowledge

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Desirable:

Submarine build knowledge

Experience in a Site & Facilities role, including contractor management

Awareness of Nuclear Site Licences
