Rate: $55–$60/hr (W2)Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Controller to support financial and operational management of large, complex IT and business projects. This role focuses on project financial governance, cost control, vendor tracking, and resource capacity management. The successful candidate will work closely with project leadership to manage budgets, forecasts, vendor payments, and reporting for enterprise initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who excels in project finance, resource planning, business analysis, and operational controls in an enterprise IT environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Financial Management
Develop and maintain project resource and cost plans in ServiceNow.
Create Present Estimates and manage monthly forecast processes.
Reconcile budget vs. actuals and analyze financial variances.
Support project change requests (PCRs) and impact reporting.
Track costs to ensure alignment with IT Capital Policy.Vendor & Contract Management
Create and manage vendor purchase orders (POs) based on SOWs.
Track Statements of Work (SOWs), contracts, accruals, and invoices.
Reconcile vendor timecards to invoices and ensure contract compliance.
Approve vendor invoices based on SOW terms and recorded labor hours.
Track services, software, and project-related accruals.Resource Management
Track internal and vendor capacity plans.
Reconcile resource plans to time reporting systems.
Monitor utilization and staffing performance across projects.Reporting & Controls
Provide project financial reporting and forecast updates.
Assist leadership with budget planning and cost control strategies.
Support continuous improvement efforts within a metrics-driven environment.Required Qualifications
5+ years in project control, project management, or financial governance roles.
Experience managing large, complex IT and business projects.
Strong background in:
Cost management
Forecasting and financial reconciliation
Vendor invoice governance
Resource planning and capacity tracking
Proven ability in business process analysis and mapping.
Experience working in fast-paced, metrics-based environments.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to operate independently and partner across functions.Preferred Qualifications
Industry experience in Energy or Utilities.
Project Management certification (PMP).
Agile certification (PSM / PSPO) a plus.
ITIL v3 or v4 understanding.
Strong ServiceNow experience.Work Authorization Requirement
