SQL Developer

Our client is seeking a SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain SQL Server-based solutions that support enterprise reporting, data integration, and analytics needs. The role focuses on building high-performing, secure, and scalable database environments. This position is based on-site in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and related database objects.

Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliability across systems.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions.

Maintain and enhance SQL Server environments while ensuring security and compliance.

Develop and support ETL processes using SSIS for integration of internal and external data sources.

Build and maintain SSRS reports and SSAS models.

Create and maintain documentation for database structures, processes, and best practices.

Develop and manage project plans and timelines for assigned initiatives.

Perform additional tasks or projects as needed.

Education, Experience & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

3+ years of SQL development experience.

Strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.

Experience with performance tuning and optimization (execution plans, indexing, etc.).

Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL methodologies.

Working knowledge of JavaScript.

Understanding of database security, backup, and recovery processes.

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

Compensation: $90,000-110,000

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
