Schedule: Flexible First Shift Part-Time (15–25 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $24/hr
Contract Duration: 3–6 months (with potential to extend or renew)

About the Role
The Ohio Secretary of State’s Office is seeking a Training Content Developer to create engaging, accessible, and high-quality multimedia training materials. This role supports critical public-facing and internal training initiatives—including voter education, business services, and Boards of Elections staff training.
This is a part-time, onsite contract role ideal for someone who enjoys creatively transforming raw concepts into clear, effective learning experiences.
Who You’ll Create Training For
General Public: Voter education, business services, public process overviews
Boards of Elections Staff: Compliance, procedures, operations, and election administration
Responsibilities
Develop multimedia training using Articulate Storyline/Rise and Animaker (or similar tools)
Convert raw content into polished, engaging e-learning modules, videos, and visual materials
Apply adult learning principles to ensure clarity, accessibility, and comprehension
Maintain consistent design standards aligned with state requirements
Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance
Deliver content owned exclusively by the Ohio SoS Office
Qualifications
Required:
Demonstrated experience with Articulate (Storyline/Rise)
Experience with Animaker or comparable video creation tools
Background in instructional design or e-learning development
Ability to turn dense or technical content into clear, audience-friendly training
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and inclusive design
Ability to work onsite in Columbus in a cubicle-office environment
Preferred:
Experience working with government agencies, election administration, or civic education
