Software Developer - Java (Mid-Level)

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Software Developer with expertise in Java and associated technologies to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves creating, maintaining, and optimizing software solutions for the banking industry, ensuring high performance and scalability. Based in Des Moines, Iowa, this position offers the opportunity to work on both front-end and back-end development, collaborating with a dynamic team to deliver impactful results.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software applications using Java 8 and related frameworks, ensuring robust functionality.

• Create efficient front-end interfaces utilizing JavaScript and Angular to deliver user-friendly experiences.

• Build and optimize back-end systems using Spring Boot, Maven, and other tools to support seamless operations.

• Write and execute complex SQL queries to manage and manipulate data effectively.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test new features.

• Ensure code quality and functionality through rigorous testing and debugging processes.

• Analyze and interpret technical requirements to deliver tailored software solutions.

• Produce and maintain documentation for software designs, processes, and systems.

• Utilize Excel and other tools to handle data analysis and reporting tasks as needed.

• Stay updated on industry trends and implement best practices in software development.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with a focus on Java technologies.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and Angular for front-end development.

• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Maven, and related back-end frameworks.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL queries and PL/SQL development.

• Ability to read, write, and interpret technical documentation effectively.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.

• Solid understanding of software development life cycle and best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
