Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a SQL Server Developer for a highly innovative and fast-growing technology partner in the financial operations space. This is a hybrid role, but this individual must be located in EST time zone.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This exciting role focuses on building and optimizing SQL Server–based systems that support a dynamic account management and operational platform used by a large community of end users. The developer in this position will help design and refine data workflows and real-time processing logic that enable accurate, timely, and reliable financial insights and operational outcomes. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build and enhance stored procedures and complex T-SQL logic supporting real-time financial calculations, operational workflows, and dashboards.

Develop and automate data flows using SSIS and other ETL tooling to integrate information from multiple providers.

Performance and accuracy are non-negotiable and very important since your code will be directly impacting their trader accounts!

Create and maintain workflows that coordinate account actions and system interactions through APIs.

Optimize database performance to support rapid response times and high-volume data activity.

Implement automated monitoring logic to detect operational or compliance-related conditions in real time.

Design and support processes related to payouts, notifications, and downstream communication needs.

Contribute to continuous improvement of data systems through collaboration, documentation, and thoughtful engineering practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of strong SQL Server development experience, including advanced stored procedures, triggers, and complex business logic.

Experience with SSIS development, query tuning, and high-volume data processing.

Ability to build API-connected workflows and integrate data across systems.

Familiarity with financial, trading, or data-driven operational environments is a plus.

Knowledge of tooling such as Service Broker, Azure services, Event Hubs, Stream Analytics, Python, or PowerShell is highly preferred.

Comfortable designing efficient workflows and data flows. Working with production systems that require accuracy and reliability.

Financial and data warehouse systems exp is a huge plus!

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This position offers a highly competitive compensation range of $150-190k/yr (DOE) plus their benefit offerings.
