A national professional services organisation—one of Australia’s largest independent providers of property valuation and advisory services—is seeking an experienced Interim IT Operations Manager to lead and stabilise core technology functions during a period of transition. This is a 3 - 6 month contract, for the right candidate, there is potential for the role to transition to a permanent appointment.
This role oversees three key operational domains:
IT Service Desk / Service Management
Infrastructure, Operations & Cloud (GCP & Google Workspace)
Information Security & Compliance
About the Role
You will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for service delivery, cloud environments, operational reliability and security governance. The environment currently involves elevated service desk escalations, so the ability to stabilise operations, uplift processes and strengthen capability is essential.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will balance tactical responsiveness with strategic improvement initiatives to enhance overall operational maturity.
What You’ll Bring
7+ years leading IT operations and infrastructure functions
5+ years cloud engineering experience (preferably GCP)
5+ years information security leadership
Strong people leadership across virtual, onshore and offshore teams
Demonstrated ability to manage complex operational escalations
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Proven ability to balance tactical execution with strategic direction
