Salary Range: $5,043.14 - $5,560.07 per month Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Benefits: Click Here Position Overview Under the direction of the Grounds Supervisor, the Irrigation Specialist performs skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of campus irrigation systems.
This role also includes related landscaping and grounds duties to support the overall care of college property.
Key Responsibilities * Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, including controllers, pumps, valves, sprinklers, and backflow prevention devices.
* Inspect systems regularly to ensure proper operation and compliance with regulations.
* Operate equipment such as trenchers, loaders, and power tools.
* Plan and lay out irrigation systems for new or renovated landscaped areas.
* Keep records of work performed and materials used.
Minimum Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent.
* Two (2) years of experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of automatic irrigation systems and equipment, including electronic controls.
* Valid Class C California driver's license Preferred Qualifications * Experience working with computerized irrigation controls.
* Experience in implementing water conservation strategies.
* Experience in planting, weeding, cultivating, and maintaining plants for several seasons.
