BUSINESS ANALYST/QUALITY ANALYST

We are currently looking for a Business Analyst / Quality Analyst who owns requirements gathering and quality assurance to align product development with stakeholder needs and deliver reliable outcomes. This role drives clear, testable specifications via direct SME collaboration, designs/executes testing protocols (automated/manual as needed), and manages defect resolution to minimize risks/rework. Leveraging AI tools where appropriate for efficiency, the teammate establishes baselines/standardizes processes, enables smooth deployments, and supports the company's mission by fostering proactive quality practices that empower the Research and Development team and delight customers.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirements Ownership: Elicit, document, and validate product requirements with stakeholders and SMEs to create clear, testable specs—ensuring projects launch with alignment and reduced ambiguity

Process Establishment: Establish baselines for key metrics (e.g., rework rates, testing times) and standardize quality processes, driving measurable improvements and efficiency in Research and Development workflows.

Testing Design and Execution: Develop automated and manual test plans, execute validation against requirements, and leverage AI tools where they enhance efficiency, driving high coverage and reliable releases.

Quality and Defect Management: Facilitate bug tracking as the first point of contact, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions; oversee deployment audit, minimizing production issues and disruptions.

Documentation and Organization: Maintain centralized, traceable docs in Teams/SharePoint for requirements, tests, and results, promoting accessibility and cross-team efficiency.

Autonomous Collaboration: Work independently during U.S. hours, communicate fluently in English, and adapt to ambiguity while partnering with developers and stakeholders, fostering ownership and innovation without oversight.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business analysis, quality assurance, or hybrid roles, with proven expertise in requirements gathering, test automation, and stakeholder management in software environments.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Skills:

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities to handle ambiguity, identify root causes, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced virtual setting.

Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder interactions, negotiation, and conveying technical info to non-technical audiences. Proficiency in AI tools for automation and efficiency, data querying/analysis (e.g., SQL, Excel), plus platforms like GitHub, Teams, SharePoint, and test frameworks (e.g., Selenium).

Proven self-management to own outcomes independently.

Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) to align testing and requirements with team workflows.
