POSITION TITLE: Restaurant Server

REPORTS TO: Manager of Food & Beverage Outlet Operations

LOCATION: Blue Harbor Resort, Sheboygan, Wisconsin

SCHEDULE: Part Time

COMPENSATION: $7.25 + tips

As a Restaurant Server at Blue Harbor Resort, you will be a key member of our food & beverage team, delivering outstanding service to our resort guests. You’ll help create memorable dining experiences in our resort restaurant, The Beacon and our On The Rocks bar.

Duties

Provide welcoming and customized service to each of our guests.

Have a thorough knowledge of the menu to explain offerings to guests and provide information to help the guest make food and beverage selections.

Perform opening and closing procedures and side-work to setup success for daily operations.

Helps guest select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails, suggesting courses; explaining the chef’s specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions.

Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording guest choices; identifying guest special dietary needs and special requests.

Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.

Serves orders by picking up and delivering guest choices from bar and kitchen. Delivers accompaniments and condiments from service bars.

Responds to additional guest requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process.

Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to guest spills or other special needs.

Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant and inviting guest to return.

Obtains revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; delivering bill and payment to host person; returning change or credit card and signature slip to guest.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Willing to cross train in other outlets with occasionally working as a Bartender and Barista

Must be able to effectively listen and communicate both verbally and written, with both employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Weekend and holiday availability.
