The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in critical care nursing, with a focus on managing complex patient conditions in a fast-paced environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients, including those with multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, and other critical conditions.\n Manage ventilator settings and care of ventilated patients.\n Administer continuous IV sedation and medications as needed.\n Conduct cardiac monitoring and respond to emergency situations.\n Interpret dysrhythmias and manage related complications.

\n Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more.\n\n\nPatient Ratios\n Estimated patient ratios are 1:2 during days and nights, and 1:2 on weekends.\n\nQualifications\n\n Minimum of 2 years of Medical ICU experience required.\n Proficient in IV start and telemetry.\n Experience with ventilators is essential.\n Must have EPIC experience for charting.\n\n\nCertifications\n\n Basic Life Support (BLS)\n Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)\n National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n Previous travel nursing experience.\n Proficiency in the EPIC documentation system.\n\n\nSpecialized Experience in:\n\n Multisystem Organ Failure\n Respiratory Failure\n COVID-19\n Sepsis\n Post-Cardiac Arrest\n Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)\n Liver Failure\n Renal Failure\n\n\nSpecial Procedures and Unit Details\n\n Continuous Glucose Monitoring for Hyperglycemia\n Externalized IV Pumps for COVID-19 Positive Patients\n\n\nSpecial Equipment Knowledge\n\n NxStage Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)\n Alaris IV Pump\n GE Cardiac Monitor\n GE Ventilator\n Boom Lift in Each Patient Room\n\n\n This position requires a commitment to patient care and teamwork in a dynamic and challenging environment.
