The IT Asset Management Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining processes that ensure effective management of hardware and software assets across the organisation. This role will lead critical initiatives to further develop the Asset Management service, ensuring compliance, data accuracy, and continual improvement while providing clear insights and reporting to partners.

Process Development & Implementation:

Build and implement processes for Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM).

Maintain and regularly review process, procedure, and work instruction documentation.

Leadership & Strategy:

Lead all aspects of the team’s activities and provide mentorship to team members.

Build and drive strategy to mature the Asset Management service in alignment with interpersonal goals.

Analysis & Reporting:

Conduct analysis and prepare reports on asset management performance and compliance.

Supervise and report on critical metrics, providing variance analysis and initiating corrective actions.

Data Integrity & Compliance:

Perform verification and audit activities to ensure CMDB/AMDB data changes are authorised and accurate.

Drive data quality improvements, including CI/asset de-duplication and compliance validation.

Asset Lifecycle Management:

Maintain records of asset status, versions, location, and relationships throughout the lifecycle.

Partner Communication:

Provide ongoing information to leadership, customers, and peers regarding the health of the environment, improvements, innovations, and initiatives.

Continuous Improvement:

Support Continual Service Improvement (CSI) initiatives to improve asset management processes and tools.

Skills and qualifications:

Solid understanding of IT Asset Management principles, including HAM and SAM.

Experience with CMDB/AMDB systems and data governance.

Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and deliver actionable insights.

Superb communication and partner leadership skills.

Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide teams.

Familiarity with ITIL practices

Metrics for Success:

Accuracy and completeness of asset data in CMDB/AMDB.

Compliance with asset management policies and standards.

Timely delivery of reports and analysis.

Successful implementation of CSI initiatives and process improvements.
