We are a dynamic, and rapidly growing research team, based at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH), working at the forefront of translational and clinical cancer research. Our mission is to shape the future of investigator-initiated clinical trials and bring innovations to improve patient outcomes.

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our vibrant international team on January 1, 2026. Reporting directly to the Principal Investigator and working alongside a team of doctoral students and clinical researchers, you will provide essential technical support to our scientists and contribute directly to the success of translational research projects in a state-of-the-art facility. The position is initially limited to one year.

Your tasks:

Perform and support laboratory procedures, including molecular biology and cell culture and carry out immunohistochemistry (IHC) on tissue samples

Establish and maintain 3D organoid cultures and prepare and maintain reagents, solutions, and laboratory stocks

Ensure proper documentation of experiments, sample tracking, and data management

Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and inventory

Support researchers with experimental setups and protocol execution

Your profile:

Completed training as a laboratory technician (e.g., BTA, MTA, CTA) or equivalent qualification

Hands-on laboratory experience in molecular biology, cell biology, immunohistochemistry, and/or organoid culture

Experience in animal research is considered an asset

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team and good communication skills in English and German
