Job Summary
Responsible for assisting the driver with route preparation; navigating the route; loading, unloading and assembling household items at the customer's location and at the warehouses.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Navigate driver to the location including getting out of the truck at the location to assist driver in maneuvering around power lines, driveways, trees, etc.
Telephone customers and notify them of expected arrival time.
Maintain 5S's Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain in dock areas including exterior truck wells.
Accurately load and unload items on and off the truck. Ensure documents/merchandise are secure, safe and free from damage.
Place and assemble items at customer location as required.
Assist driver with notifying the office of PO/PB results. Notify dock supervisor of merchandise rejected by the customer.
Assist daily with paperwork as needed.
Occasionally fill in as driver (if properly licensed) when driver is absent.
Adherence to the Company's appearance guidelines.
Qualifications:

Education / Certification/Licensure:
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong customer orientation with excellent interpersonal communication skills is a plus
Attention to detail
Ability to effectively use power and hand tools
Working Conditions/Physical Abilities: Must be able to ride and/or operate a motor vehicle on a daily basis for extended periods of time; and climb in and out of vehicle. Frequently operate power and hand tools. Continuously sit, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, climb (on and off the truck; stairs), lift and carry at least 100 pounds, push, pull and grip. Occasionally may lift above shoulder level.
Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
