As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the development and execution of projects. Your goal will be to oversee the overall planning, coordination, and execution of projects in a gated framework, including approval of funding requests, the development of project plans and schedules; management of project budgets and resources; identification and management of risks; and facilitation of communications and collaboration across cross-functional teams. Your success will be working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to effectively manage and safely execute multiple projects concurrently according to our policies, instructions, and procedures.

Your Responsibilities:
Development and execution of small, medium and large capital projects
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with stakeholders
Develop detailed project plans that include timelines, budgets, resources, and risk assessments
Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential problem areas, and devise/enact contingency/mitigation plans
Effectively manage vendor relationships to ensure delivery of services in accordance with project plans
Coordinate with various teams, including program management, project controls, construction, and engineering services teams, to ensure project goals are met
Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, presentations and all other necessary project communication
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team to ensure alignment of key stakeholders and within the project team
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
Responsible for submitting funding requests for each phase, completing the project execution plan, directing the completion of engineering packages and work orders, ensuring procurement and contracts deliverables are complete and interfacing with construction until completion of project
Responsible for safety, schedule, costs and quality

Your Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Minimum 15 years’ experience in project management within engineering/construction (preferably in brownfield and greenfield projects, ideally within refinery environments or oil and gas facilities)
P. Eng. or PMP is an asset
