Summary
This full-time position assists the Director of Finance with the daily accounting operations of a high-volume treatment center.
Job Responsibilities
Collections/Discharges/Billing for Transitional Program
Reconcile month end bank statements
Reconcile accounts while collaborating with Insurance Department
Purchasing for two locations
Review/Approve check and EFT payments
Process/Review/Submit Payroll
Review/Enter Accounts Payable invoices
Post incoming payments
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in using standard office software including Microsoft Office and QuickBooks Online.
Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Quality oral and written communications skills.
Ability to perform day-to-day work with only general instruction, including new or unusual assignments with independence and initiative.
Ability to communicate with clients, other staff members and the general public exchanging accurate information face-to-face, on the telephone and electronically.
Ability to perform assignments and projects which often involve coordinating with other employees to gather information or solve problems.
Ability to perform standard arithmetic functions of a transactional nature, including tracking and comparing data.
EOB knowledge is a plus but not required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and access other buildings in the complex in order to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit for extended periods of time and will have extended periods of computer use.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Willingness to work extra hours when required. Is subject to frequent interruptions.
