Construction Site Superintendent – Woodfibre LNG Project
Compensation: $140,000 - $160,000 p.a.
Rotation: 14 days on / 7 days off (remote camp accommodation provided)
Project Location: Squamish region – LNG industrial site

Overview
This position supports a Construction Management company specialising in pre-engineered steel structure projects. The successful candidate will join a major heavy industrial LNG project on a remote rotation schedule (14 days on / 7 days off, 10-hour shifts). The project begins in early January and is expected to run until July 2026, with potential for extension.
We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Superintendent capable of leading field operations, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and ensuring safe, efficient execution of all site activities on a complex industrial project.
Must Haves
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent or equivalent leadership role in industrial construction.
Strong background supervising structural steel scopes.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors in a high-volume construction environment.
Proven track record of maintaining schedule, managing daily work fronts, and supporting overall project progress.
Solid understanding of construction methodologies, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
Strong commitment to safety and ability to enforce site safety expectations at all times.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to guide crews and resolve issues in the field.
Ability to work effectively on a remote rotational schedule (14/7).
High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Nice to Haves
Experience working on LNG, petrochemical, or other major heavy industrial projects.
Background working with pre-engineered steel structures or structural steel erection.
Previous experience supporting commissioning, pre-commissioning, or turnover activities.
Familiarity with project controls, progress tracking, and productivity reporting tools.
Experience managing complex logistics and material coordination on remote project sites.
Knowledge of WorkSafeBC standards and major project safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of all work.
Coordinate and manage crews, subcontractors, equipment, and work fronts to maintain schedule and productivity.
Review construction drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate field execution.
Conduct daily site walk-downs to monitor progress, identify challenges, and support issue resolution.
Lead daily morning meetings, progress updates, and coordination briefings with site teams.
Enforce safety practices across all operations and support the project’s overall safety culture.
Track progress, document daily activities, and report field status to project management.
Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and project controls teams to align field activities.
Identify and resolve construction issues proactively to avoid schedule delays or rework.
Support planning of upcoming work scopes, manpower needs, and material requirements.
