This opportunity is for three resources (2 senior & 1 intermediate) to assist the Digital Services Group on a 1 year contract, with options to extend. The work is hybrid, 3 days a week on site in Ottawa (west).
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Services Group (DSG)
Monitoring, evaluating and providing hands-on assistance in long-term strategic areas as well as the departments daily operations
Reviewing and proposing amendments to legislation and guidelines concerning governance, performance reporting and risk management
Developing standards and framework assessments
Establishing the footprint required for a sustainable program including resource and capability availability
Documenting business unit outcomes to document IT plan elements and deliverables over the program development roadmap
Reviewing and providing advice regarding public agency direction, planning and performance
Identifying, researching, developing and suggesting the implementation of policies and procedures that will serve to strengthen the departments operations
Reviewing documents on current and emerging issues, including briefing materials, position papers, speaking points, policy research, corporate reporting, protocols, media information and presentations for consistency with departmental and other government department positions
What you must bring to this role:
Must currently hold a valid federal government Secret-level security clearance issued by CISD
Must have a university degree at the Bachelor level.
Must have two (2) years of experience providing strategic advice to the federal Government of Canada, within the last five (5) years.
Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience performing the Key Responsibilities outlined above
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience coordinating, arranging, and attending team and stakeholder meetings.
Must be willing to work on-site in Ottawa (west) 3 days/week
Strong Asset Criteria:
Should have experience supporting a minimum of one (1) large-scale, digital transformation Programme, within the last five (5) years for the Government of Canada.
*Large-scale is defined as having national impact, with a value of $250M.
**Programme is defined as a temporary, flexible organization designed to coordinate a set of related projects and other activities to deliver outcomes and benefits aligned with an organization’s strategic objectives.
Should have a Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) certification.
Should have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience, within the last fifteen (15) years, providing strategic advice to the Government of Canada .
Should have a minimum of three (3) years of experience, within a large organization, providing organizational design services to support new structures, processes, and approaches resulting from business and technology transformation.
Should have experience working on a minimum of five (5) projects with enforcement-related public sector clients within the Government of Canada .
