Refrigeration Start-Up / Commissioning Technician

About the Role:

G&R Professional Services is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Start-Up Technician to join our commissioning team. The first assignment will involve commissioning reports for large-scale retail and grocery projects. This role is ideal for technicians with strong technical skills who take pride in quality work and detailed documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Start up and verify commercial refrigeration systems (racks, cases, condensers, controls).

Document commissioning data and system performance for project reports.

Assist with EMS/controls integration and troubleshooting.

Ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.

Communicate findings with project managers and GCs.

Travel to sites as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of commercial refrigeration service/start-up experience (supermarket/grocery preferred).

Knowledge of rack refrigeration systems and EMS controls.

EPA Certification (Type II or Universal).

Ability to read wiring diagrams and construction drawings.

Strong reporting and communication skills.

Willingness to travel.
