Job Description

We are seeking an intelligent auditor with at least 5 years external auditing experience to join our team. The successful candidate will begin by participating in (or taking full charge of) a variety of audit engagements and reporting directly to the Engagement Partner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Performing (or participating in the performance of) risk assessments and developing audit plans.

- Conducting and documenting audits of financial statements and programs in accordance with GAS and GAGAS standards.

- Evaluating internal controls and identifying weaknesses or areas for improvements.

- Developing audit findings and recommendations.

- Reviewing clients' financial data to ensure conformity with GAAP.

- Performing analytical procedures and other substantive audit procedures.

- Performing compliance testing of clients' activities, transactions, and programs in accordance with Single Audit Act Amendments. Single Audit experience is very important.

- Communicating and relating directly with clients.

- Wrapping up audit engagements.

- Analyzing other financial data.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in accounting.

- CPA designation. (ACCA or ACA designation may be considered).

- Experience in Public Accounting, specifically external auditing experience. (Internal audit experience will not count).

- Experience in leading/managing independent external audits, performing the required audit documentations, preparing financial statements, and concluding audit engagements.

- Ability to work independently (or with minimal supervision) to achieve engagement objectives.

- Strong technical accounting skills.

- Above average level working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.

- Strong familiarity with GAAP and COSO framework.

- Strong familiarity with the Single Audit Act and GAGAS.

- Strong familiarity with any auditing software. (We use Fx Engagement audit software, and an experience with this is preferred).

- Fluent verbal and strong written communication skills.

- Strong inter-personal skills.
