Position Summary
The Desktop Support Engineer is responsible for delivering hands-on technical support and ensuring the reliability of end-user computing environments across both office and plant floor settings. This role requires expertise in PC deployment and imaging, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and providing responsive desk-side support for Windows 10 and Windows 11 workstations in a networked environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ PC Deployment & Imaging
+ Perform workstation imaging and deployment as part of new hire onboarding and hardware refresh cycles.
+ Utilize Microsoft Intune and Autopilot for streamlined provisioning (experience with these tools is preferred but not required).
+ Configure operating systems, applications, and security policies to meet company standards.
+ Technical Troubleshooting
+ Diagnose and resolve issues related to workstations, applications, peripherals, handheld devices, TCP/IP connectivity, and printers.
+ Provide timely incident response and resolution, escalating complex issues when necessary.
+ Maintain documentation of troubleshooting steps and resolutions for knowledge base use.
+ Desk-Side Support
+ Deliver in-person support for Windows 10/11 workstations in a networked office environment.
+ Provide technical assistance on plant floor systems, ensuring minimal disruption to production operations.
+ Collaborate with IT teams to support specialized equipment and devices used in manufacturing or plant operations.
Qualifications
+ Strong experience with PC deployment and imaging (required).
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot (preferred).
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows 10/11 workstations, applications, peripherals, handheld devices, TCP/IP, and printers.
+ Ability to provide desk-side support in both office and plant floor environments.
+ Excellent communication and customer service skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
